Visual and performing arts receive a strong emphasis at Mount Scopus, both in the formal curriculum and in the many
extra-curricular opportunities for students to explore their creative side.
Our visual arts program educates students about the fine arts and allows them to experience many different media
including ceramics, painting, drawing, photography and textiles. Students may pursue visual arts and media subjects
through to VCE and have many opportunities to exhibit their work.
Performing arts incorporate music and voice, drama and dance, which are taught as core subjects or electives
throughout the College, and to VCE level. Instrumental music and voice tuition are available from Year 4.
Students who enjoy the performing arts are particularly well served at Scopus, with choirs and bands, musicals,
House plays, dance troupes, musical soirees and more.
