Parents' Association

Mount Scopus Memorial College Parents’ Association – Bringing families together.

What are we here for?

Our role is to serve as a link between the school and parents and to support our parents in all their needs while fostering a warm, welcoming community for each family at the school.

All the money raised by MSMC PA goes back to the school to fund various equipment and resources across all three campuses: Fink Karp Ivany Campus, Gandel Besen House, and the Gandel Campus School.

We fundraise through various events and stalls throughout the year. Some of these include our Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls, Twilight Footy Night, Weekly Friday Challah Stalls, Baking Club and Movie Nights. We also co-ordinate a class convenor system which serves to facilitate information flow between parents, the classroom teachers and the school in general.

The Executive is supported by a wonderful team of parents who head the sub committees that run each event. They are a committed group of volunteers who spend countless hours trying to raise funds for the school and foster a sense of community amongst parents, staff and students. Although all parents are automatically members of the Parents’ Association, new committee members are always welcome and we look forward to fresh initiatives to bring to our families.

We welcome all our parents to get involved in any way they can. Whether it be volunteering to prepare lunch orders, helping out at tuckshop, donating gifts for our Mother’s Day or Father’s Day stall or designing an advertising brochure, all contributions are appreciated.

What we can do for you

The best part of the PA is the lovely people you will meet and the opportunity to get a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes at the school.

We work to foster that unique Scopus school spirit while engaging parents in roles that enable them to spend time doing things with and for their children.  Your involvement contributes significantly to our school and its students.

We are committed to supporting the Mount Scopus Memorial College Mission of helping our students to grow into knowledgeable and proud bearers of their Jewish and Australian heritage ready and equipped to play their full part in society.
