Performing Arts
The Performing Arts at Mount Scopus is extended beyond the classroom through a rich, diverse and engaging co-curricular program.
Co-curricular Performing Arts
At Mount Scopus, our Co-curricular Performing Arts program extends learning beyond the classroom, offering students a wide variety of opportunities to develop skills, express creativity, build community and experience the joy of live performance.
Studies consistently highlight the positive impact that arts education has on cognitive development, academic success, and overall wellbeing. That’s why every student at Mount Scopus is encouraged to get involved and find their place within our vibrant and supportive creative community.
Our Co-curricular Performing Arts program includes:
Private Music Tuition
Optional one-on-one lessons delivered by our team of highly qualified tutors across all three campuses. These weekly 30-minute lessons are offered on a fee-paying basis.
Ensemble Program
A wide range of choirs, bands and instrumental ensembles open to all students, with weekly rehearsals and regular performance opportunities.
Performances
A busy calendar of events including musicals, plays, concerts, showcases, assemblies, community events and more. These performances give students the opportunity to develop and showcase their skills in performance, creativity and teamwork, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Aligned with the College’s mission to foster holistic development, our program nurtures confidence, teamwork and artistic excellence across music, drama, dance and technical production.
