Performing Arts
At Mount Scopus Memorial College, Performing Arts is more than what happens on stage. It is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, self-expression and community, and a vibrant part of College life.
Our dynamic Performing Arts program provides students with opportunities to discover their passions, develop their talents, build confidence and experience the excitement of bringing extraordinary performances to life. Through Music, Drama and Theatre, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, embrace new experiences and find their own creative voice. Whether taking their first steps into the spotlight or pursuing their artistic passions at an advanced level, every student is encouraged to explore, participate and shine.
Our Performing Arts calendar is filled with opportunities that bring our College community together, from the spectacle of our major College Musical to the creativity, prestigue and ambition of our Senior School and Middle School Plays. Students can immerse themselves in instrumental and vocal ensembles, showcase their talents through concerts and performances, take centre stage in our much-loved Scopus Idol singing competition, and contribute to the many College events, assemblies, festivals and community celebrations that make Performing Arts such an integral part of the Scopus experience.
Beyond the spotlight, students are also encouraged to explore the world behind the scenes, developing skills in theatrical production, technical theatre and stagecraft. Every production, rehearsal and performance is an opportunity to build friendships, develop resilience, nurture leadership and experience the power of working together towards something truly special.
At Scopus, Performing Arts is not simply about creating exceptional performances; it is about creating unforgettable experiences, lifelong memories and a community where every student has the opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive.
