Kitchen Garden Program
The Kitchen Garden Program at Mount Scopus Memorial College provides primary students with hands-on, experiential learning that connects food, nature, and community. Established in 2009 and modelled on the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, the initiative embeds sustainability and wellness into the curriculum.
Garden to Table
Students participate directly in the lifecycle of seasonal produce - planting, harvesting, and preparing fresh, healthy dishes in an purpose-built kitchen setting.
Meaningful Design:
The central garden plot was collaboratively designed by students and a landscape architect around a Magen David layout.
Holistic Wellbeing:
Beyond teaching practical cooking and gardening skills, the space serves as a calm, restorative environment for mindfulness, teamwork, and building social connections.
We hope you enjoy re-creating our recipies from our 2025 Kitchen Garden cookbook, as much as we loved making them! Click on the flipbook below to enjoy.
